Campervan Iceland Winback Contest: Official Rules

Did you choose Campervan Iceland as your road trip companion this past year, 2025? Well, a huge 'thank you' goes out to you, but actions matter more than words. We'd like to show our appreciation by giving one lucky traveler the chance to win a full refund of the cost of their rental campervan in Iceland. Here's how:

1. Who can enter?

You can join the contest if you meet the following conditions:

Rented a camper from Campervan Iceland.
Picked up your vehicle anytime in 2025.
Receive an email from us asking for your rating of our company.
If you also leave a genuine, positive review on Google or Trustpilot, then your chances to win the contest are doubled.

2. The amazing prize

The winner will receive a full refund of their entire booking cost. This covers all the rental days plus any extras you paid for, say premium insurance packages, extra drivers, or any other type of add-on.

The prize is the full refund as described. It cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to another person, or exchanged for a different prize.

3. Important dates

Entry Period: You can submit your review anytime until the 22nd of August 2026.
Drawing Date: The winner will be selected on the 1st of September 2026.

4. How the winner is chosen

The raffle will be done with all of the email addresses we contacted during the entry period, regardless of whether a review was left.

Each contacted client receives one entry automatically.
Clients who leave a positive review on Google or Trustpilot receive two entries (their chances are doubled).

To ensure this contest is completely fair, the winner will be chosen through a random drawing using a trusted, independent online tool (Random.org). We will create a list of all entries based on the above rule, and then the tool will randomly select the winning entry. Easy as that!

5. What makes an entry invalid?

Unfortunately, your entry won't count if the positive review is not linked to a verified 2025 booking with Campervan Iceland. Any deleted review will be disqualified.

6. How we'll contact the winner & prize claiming

Notification: Once the winner is drawn, Campervan Iceland will contact the winner via phone using the phone number provided in your rental booking.
Claiming: You will have one week (7 business days) from the date of our phone call to confirm your prize and provide bank details. If you do not respond within this period, we will then conduct a second random drawing to select a new winner from the remaining entries.
Payment: The full refund will be processed via bank transfer to an account in your name.

7. Image rights & usage

By entering the giveaway, participants grant Campervan Iceland a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, edit, publish, and display any submitted images for marketing and promotional purposes, including but not limited to websites, newsletters, social media, and advertisements.

Participants confirm that:

They are the rightful owner of any submitted images or the account used for the review.
They have permission from any identifiable individuals appearing in the images.
No compensation beyond the stated prize will be provided.

8. Personal data (GDPR compliance)

Personal data collected for this giveaway will be processed in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Icelandic data protection laws.
